Choose, chose, chosen

Choose is an irregular verb, meaning that we do not add ‘ed’ when conveying the past tense or past participle. There are a few verbs like this, but I wanted to focus on ‘choose’ because it’s the verb I see spelled incorrectly most often.

Choose - this is the present tense of the verb. We can also use it when speaking about facts or things that happen in general.
Examples: 
I often choose to go to bed early so I’m rested in the morning.
Some people choose the lesser of two/three evils when voting.
Which restaurant did you choose to order from?

Chose - this is the past tense of the verb. 
Examples:
My husband and I chose to get married in Savannah, Georgia.
We chose to order food from a local restaurant.
I chose to maintain this blog because I love English grammar.

Chosen - this is the past participle of the verb. The past participle always includes an auxiliary verb (be/have).
Examples:
She was chosen to represent the team.
A new site has been chosen for the Aylmer library.
He is the chosen one.
